I’m alive.

It’s been *checks last update* 28 weeks ago...so it’s 28 weeks later and I’ve been attacked by crazed zombies – which of course is why I haven’t updated. Nope, unfortunately it has not been half that exciting. Uni has kept me super busy and for the first time in a couple of years I was home for more than 2 weeks at a time. Went home for the summer & was interning in an architectural firm for 3 months, I figured I should start getting responsible so hey presto there I was. Was actually great experience that I was getting paid for so was pretty sweet. I passed all my exams/projects from last year and am now back in Newcastle at uni for my final year (of my bachelors degree) which is drowning me in work these days.

...Not all that much fun/or interest. I did get my tonsils out in April (finally) and I am not missing them at all =)

I’m heading to New York on Saturday with my brother & mum to visit my older brother who’s working out there for a year. Very excited!  My university tutors will not be pleased so I think I shall have to make some sort of ‘family emergency’ excuse lol.

Hope everyone on my f’list is doing well; let me know what the craic is! Sorry for the lack of contact but I guess sometimes life gets in the way sometimes.

P.S. It’s strange not having GG this year, I miss it! I was saying to Yvonne last week that it was the first show I’ve ever been “obsessed” with...don’t think I’ll love another show as much. As I’ve met so many cool people due to it.  =)

P.S.S If any of you are on Facebook let me know!

It’s been a long time…

I don’t even want to look back at the last time that I updated this thing; life has got in the way I guess. Christmas at home was great, well up until I got sick for three weeks which sucked big time. Since then I’ve just been catching up on university work, I’ve had so much it’s not even remotely funny. It’s like they think sleep is over-rated, and to be honest the past couple of weeks it has been, fours hours a night at best.

I hope everyone on my f-list had a good Christmas and best of luck in the coming year! Did anyone make any resolutions? This is the first year I haven’t made a specific one, I just couldn’t think of anything…well anything that I could see myself sticking with.

While I was sick over Christmas I started watching ‘The Office’…that show rocks, so funny. Now that I have handed in my projects I’m going to catch up on some TV shows, I have like 3 episodes of Prison Break and Grey’s to catch up – sweet! The only show I’ve watched is GG; all I can say is the sooner Chris is gone the better. It’s sad that I’m so involved that it annoys me just to watch him but I can’t help it.

‘Because I said so’ is coming out here in a couple of weeks, gonna show Lauren some love =)

I really want to change my Journal layout so hopefully I’ll get inspiration to do that soon, well that and some time lol. xx

Paris 2007
Well I promised to update when I got back from Paris but I'm only getting time to do it now, uni is keeping me crazzzy busy. Anyway Paris was amazing, we saw so much in the short time we were there. We saw Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées, Pompidou Centre, LeCorbusier houses & museum, Palais de Tokyo & museum, Notredame, Sacre Coeur, jardin du luxembourg -such an beautiful park (apologies for my french spelling) . Le grande arche was definitley one of my faves...haha almost all my pics are of buildings. So those who find no interest in architecture would probably find them boring but here are a few anyway...

Hehe below is a pic of me and 2 of my friends when we were looking over the river. Yes I did wear a beret in Paris, just to keep things whimsical...when in Paris and all that jazz! Btw Just a little note to say that GG last week, not only was the episode sh*t because of the C/L stuff but the way they portrayed French people. We met a load of people in Paris who were all really cool peeps so I think they went a little too far with the stereotype, but thats just my opinion.

As for the rest of my life, it's all good. University is stressful at the minute, not enough hours in the day...I wish I had a power like someone from 'Heroes' and didn't have to sleep ever, that would definitley help me a lot. I'm going to see The Killers this Thursday though, I'm so psyche then I'm going down to Nottingham to see some friends at the weekend and then it's my birthday on the Monday, second year having a birthday away from home...weird.

Sorry I've been MIA latley and haven't commented much, I'll try and be better! Hope everyone on my f-list is keeping well, take care dudes xxx

I had such a good weekend at home, I was sorry to come back on Monday because I knew how much work was waiting for me here. I met up with guys I was with in America on the saturday night...very drunken night. Haha it ended with me and a friend Jill taking a 'For Sale' sign from a house on the way home (which is like a 2 minute walk) and then we took 2 traffic cones, funny stuff. I also love when I meet up with old school friends how even when we don't talk much because we're all on our own paths but when I am home I can meet with them all and it is like nothing has changed. Ross and I had lunch on Friday afternoon, was good to catch up. I also bumped into my ex Adam on the first night I was back so we met the next day for Starbucks, we've been friends ever since we broke up, it's nice to have that.

University is keeping me busy, I'm working pretty hard. I slept 3 hours last night and my average nights sleep is 5 hrs but I don't care because I'm enjoying it. What's the saying? You can sleep when you're dead. We go to Paris next monday for our field trip, it's weird, I keep forgetting about it. Should be amazing though! I'll post pictures when I get home, I'm there until Friday I think. (Should probably check that)

Haven't been able to watch any shows really, I just saw the new Prison Break as a treat for myself ...  man I LOVE that show!

Mmm what else is new? I don't think there is much. Oh I've decided next summer I want to go backpacking around Europe for a month, thought about it for a few years now and I think it's time. Was checking out tickets at the weekend so it's a pretty final decision...right now lol.

Procrastination...
You Have A Type A- Personality

You are one of the most balanced people around
Motivated and focused, you are good at getting what you want
You rule at success, but success doesn't rule you.

When it's playtime, you really know how to kick back
Whether it's hanging out with friends or doing something you love!
You live life to the fullest - encorporating the best of both worlds

You Are 14% Angry

You're so laid back, no one could ever accuse you of getting angry.
While there are a few little things that may annoy you, you generally play it cool.
In fact, your calm attitude tends to provoke people with anger problems.
They may think you're screwing with them, but that's just the way you are!

...That's more angry than I thought it would be

You Communicate With Your Ears

You love conversations, both as a listener and a talker.
What people say is important to you, and you're often most affected by words, not actions.
You love to hear complements from others. And when you're upset, you often talk to yourself.
Music is very important to you. It's difficult to find you without your iPod.

...Yes that is so true, my iPod is more like an external organ. I feel incomplete without it!

You Belong in San Diego

Laid back and friendly, you were meant to live most of your life on the beach.
You usually think everything is "all good"... except when the weather dips under 60F.
You stay classy - especially when you're in Tijuana!

I'm so bad at this LJ thing now, hehe sometimes I get inspired but by the time I actually bring up the LJ website to update I lose my muse...or I get lazy but in my mind it's really the same thing. Things have been busy since I've gotten back to uni, they kind of throw us straight into it all. Have 3 ongoing projects right now, one in which I'm working with a girl who I was paired with on the interior design course but it sucks because since we got it 2 weeks ago I've been doing all the work. I just like to do projects by myself because at least I know I'll work. Y'all understand?

Mmm okay what else is new. Oooh yeah, the architecture course this year is going on a field trip to Paris. Woo, I'm so excited! I've been to France several times but never made it to Paris. We're going at the end of October for 4 days =). I'm going home to Ireland the weekend before because I have some friends coming for a weekend, one from liverpool, one from Manchester and one from Amsterdam.

I went to bed at 11pm tonight, early for me I know but after lying in bed for 30mins I had to get up, I was inspired to work so I got up and started to draw plans for the new beach house project I have. So yeah when I did that and was writing an essay I figured it was the perfect opportunity to update this badboy! I started writing a new S/L fic about 2 weeks ago and then I started BTR3 yesterday...not sure how I will keep it up but for now it's fun to write during work break!

Hope everyone on my f-list are all good, miss you all.

Got 6th Gilmore Girls season the other day, watching it now, the first 10 episodes when L &L are all cute and practically a married couple...good times!

Well it's back to reality for me. I just moved back over to Newcastle on Thursday, I start back at university on the 24th September but I came over to get my new apartment sorted out. We've just been shopping today and yesterday, groceries and furniture. It's going to be so cool this year living here, having people over and it's in a good area so I'm happy =).

I've been home for 16 days and everyday since I've been home I've been in some sort of communication with Stefan, whether it's by phone, text message, email or msn messenger and sometimes we do all 4 on the same day. It's weird because we're not together anymore but we talk more now, we want to speak to each othe more and I'm not sure how it will all work out in the end. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I do know that I feel closer to him than I was last year (weird?) and it's a nice feeling.

I'm looking forward to starting work again, I miss drawing plans and making models. Haha I know that I will be sick of it after about 2 weeks but still I am excited to be getting back to it!

Oh on a fandom front...not looking forward to Gilmore Girls this season and seeing the L/C thing shoved in our faces =(. Just pre-ordered the 6th season today, I know it was in my opinion the worst season but still, I have the first five and as long as Lauren G is in it then I will keep watching !

Finally I'm home!
(I wrote this on Friday but there were issues with my internet so couldn't post)

Last few days have been tiring, so glad I'm done with travelling, if I see another plane I may kill myself lol. We were delayed by nearly 2 hours on the way home because of some guy who was drunk on the plane so they had to remove him and his luggage which took AGES. I was counting down the hours, I can never sleep on planes so it was like 5.5 hours to go. The last hour dragged the most. Although when I saw the green fields of home when we landed I was so happy =)

Oooh funny anecdote, when I got to the airport in New York I was specially screened by security - y'know when they go through ALL your stuff especially. It was strange, I didn't even pick my usual 'Terrorist' style when I got dressed that morning. Anyway so I was putting my stuff in my bag as I walked along and I went to the restrooms. So I'm in the restroom and I see three guys, so I haven't slept in 3 days so I'm like 'Huh guys in the restroom...weird?'. It was only a few long seconds and a few curious looks later that I was like 'Yeah I'm so in the men's room'. So I walked hastily out as I laughed at myself. Although the silver lining is that at least I know that I don't get confused for a man because if I did they wouldn't have looked at me with such strange looks!

Anyway I'm still jetlagged but it's sooo nice to sleep in my own bed again. Although I'm really missing Stefan & Arwed because I was so used to having them around. On the plane home I kept turning to tell them stuff, completley forgetting that they weren't around anymore. I've decided I'm going to backpack around Europe next summer, so beware all of you guys who live there ;-)

Ohh I forgot to mention, I got a piercing (you can see it in the pic below). I'm sooo tired today so can't be arsed writing loads but I just uploaded some pics if anyone wants to check them out, here's a few - the rest are on Photobucket (Link is in side menu - they're under USA 2006).

Viva Las Vegas
My last day in Vegas, we fly back to New York tonight. The road trip here was rather long, in all it took us about 15 hours in total, with very few breaks. For me, someone who finds it hard to sit in the same place for longer than 10 minutes it was basically...well, hell. At least we had some good music though or I may have jumped out of the moving car! Even though I'm not 21 it has not really phased me here in Vegas...ooooh rebel. Oh by the way have I mentioned how annoying it is that jaywalking is illegal in the US? Seriously, that is how I cross the road. Although I keep forgetting that it is indeed illegal and so "technically" I break the law around 10-20 times a day, oh well...too bad, so sad!

San Francisco was amazing. We had such a class time! Lol we didn't get a lot of sleep the whole week, even on the last night we were up until 4am drinking with like 10 french people we had met 2 days before (so we got a max 2 hours sleep) . But man do I love french accents =).

I'll be back home in Ireland in 2 days woot! I've had such a good time travelling but I really don't like having to live out of a suitcase which I've been doing for 3 months. Ahhh the joy to have my own room again!

Is it trampy that I am in an 'Apple' store because I didn't want to find an internet cafe and have to pay? I just bought a new ipod though so I think it's okay.

Right...enough with the rambling. Hope all my LJ friends are having a good day!

Oooh a shout out to the famous Genevieve who I met in Los Angeles (forgot to mention in my last update), she's a cool-ass chick! Haha our drive around was fun. Especially my private GG-related tour of places around LA...good times. We went to the Museum of Television & Radio and I went to the bathroom in the same stall that Lauren Graham used...lol crazy obsessed fans stand up *stands up*

Alright well I think I've outstayed my welcome. Peace out & Be good ;-)

Well well well, we meet again...

So it's been like 3 months since I've updated (almost), I'm actually still not home, another week and I will be though =). Just a thought, if I die between now and then this will be my last written memoir...wow, wasn't that a little morbid!

I finished working at Eagle Springs, the special needs camp, about 2 weeks ago. It was a good summer, tiring but rewarding and I met some really cool people - altho it still didn't beat last summer. However, I've had more fun travelling this summer (well besides last yr when I met Lauren & Scott in LA last year). This year I was in Philly for a day, then flew to LA for 5 days. We rented a car and drove to San Francisco (still here for another 3 days), next is Vegas for 2 days, then New York and finally...Home sweet home! I'm having such a laugh in San Fran, meeting so many people. Last night I was hanging out with 2 americans, a polish, a candian, a dutch, an english, an australian, a korean, a hungarian and a german...lol that's what I call good international relations.

Looking forward to going home, just to sleep in my own bed, see my family/friends...all that jazz. I haven't watched TV in 3 months so I think  my TV and I are in need of some  time together :D. Taken loads of pics over the summer so I'll post a link whenever I upload them.

Hope allmy LJ friends are all well. Have a nice day =) xx

Leaving on a Jet Plane...
Hey guys

Wanted to quickly post up here to say bye to everyone. I'm leaving in about 45minutes so I won't be around much for the next 3.5 months! I'll try and update when I can though and let y'all know I'm still alive and kicking.

Feel free to email or write me. Hehe letters made my day last year, seriously we all were so happy lol to be in contact with the outside world!

Well hello everyone, i finidhed university today,,.so happy, it's 5am and I'm drunk and havebnt slept in almost 48 hours so excuse the spelling and grammar mistakes. We went out to celebrate tonight, was so good, hit 6 bars, then a club and ended with a house parttyy...t'is all good...and blurry.

The weight starts to lift...

I had my LAST EXAM today WOOT! It was the one I was most concerned about ‘Constructional, Environmental and Structural Technologies’…yes it is as fun as it sounds. It was a 3-hour exam and we were pretty much given a case study and we had to design a sports centre, not the fun parts like drawing the outside or internal planning, boring things like the foundations, soil types, materials, different frames, sustainability… blah blah. Anyway it went well so it’s literally like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

I have my final portfolio to be in for tomorrow though so it will still be a long night tonight, burning the midnight oil, coffee coffee and more coffee. But after that I’m done, thank goodness *grinning like an idiot*. I have been living on 3-4 hours sleep a night the past week and then spending all my days in the library or studio so I’m going to be exhausted tomorrow when I’m done but I don’t care because I’ll be free =)

Can’t believe I’ve pretty much finished my first year at university…insane.
